Euro 2024 has reached the last 16 with all top seed nations progressing to the knockout stages. The group stages provided plenty of excitement with 81 goals and some fantastic storylines with Georgia progressing after beating Portugal 2-0. 

Cristiano Ronaldo is the top goalscorer in Euros history but the legendary striker has cut a frustrated figure after failing to find the net across Portugal’s three games. Players from Inter MilanReal Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have scored the most goals with four with most goals coming from Bundesliga players. But which clubs’ players have scored the most goals across the history of the European Championships since the first tournament in 1960? Let’s find out. 

Which clubs’ players have scored the most goals in the history of the European Championships?

Real Madrid and Juventus players have scored the most goals across all European Championships as they tie first with 40 combined goals. Ronaldo has scored at the Euros as a Madrid and Juventus player while Michel Platini – the second top scorer in Euros history – famously scored nine goals as France won Euro 1984 while a Juventus player.

As the graphic above illustrates, Bayern Munich ranks third with players signed to the German giants scoring 37 goals, including Thomas Müller and Robert Lewandowski. Barcelona ranks fourth with David VillaAntoine Griezmann and Jordi Alba amongst the scorers. Three English clubs feature next in LiverpoolArsenal and Manchester United – players from all three of those clubs have scored during Euro 2024. Overall in the top ten, three English, three Italian, two German and two Spanish clubs feature.
